Following are the examples how to add by converting number to base 100 or 10 technique with this we can add difficult digit easily.

Example 1
415 + 94 = ?
415 + (100 – 6)
515-6 = 509    instead of add 415 to 94, add 100 to 415 and subtracted 6 from it, that is the easy way and solving that MENTALLY without need of pen and paper.
Example 2
118 + 69 =?
118 + (70 – 1)
188 – 1= 187

taking bigger number
1305 + 1520 = ?
(1300 + 5 ) + ( 1500 + 20 )
(1300 + 1500) + ( 5 + 20 )
2800 + 25 = 2825 it is easy to 1300 to 1500 and add remaining digit to get answer quickly

Another example in decimals
50.05 + 7.05 = ?
(50 + 7 ) + ( 0.05 + 0.05 )
57 + 0.10 = 57.10
